UPDATE ON PAYMENT OF AD-HOC STAFF HONORARIA.

The Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission PLASIEC understands the frustration and concern among ad-hoc staff regarding the delay in payment of their honoraria.

We acknowledge that previous press releases have addressed this issue, but we want to provide a comprehensive update to ensure transparency and clarity.

The delay is primarily due to duplication of names and account numbers in the electronic payment system, as well as issues with Mobile Money Operators not recognized by our issuing bank .

As we work diligently to resolve these technical difficulties, please note that all those affected must come with a valid form of identification for payment please.

However, we are pleased to report that adhoc staff who have channeled their complaints through their respective Electoral Officers at the Local Government Area Offices are being paid while those yet to lay theirs, should do so between Monday, 4th and Tuesday, 5th November.

PLASIEC reassures all adhoc staff who participated in the election that they shall be paid their honoraria.

The Commission appreciates the cooperation and patience shown by the ad-hoc staff so far and is taking extra precautions to verify identities and ensure only those with clean records are paid.

We further appeal to all aggrieved ad-hoc staff to remain calm and patient as we work to resolve this issue. Your understanding and cooperation are crucial in this process.

PLASIEC values the contributions of its ad-hoc staff and is committed to fair and timely compensation.

We will provide regular updates on the payment process and appreciate your continued patience and understanding.

Thank you for your dedication to the electoral process.
