PLASIEC CHAIRMAN FELICITATES WITH NIGERIANS ON DEMOCRACY DAY, REAFFIRMS COMMITMENT TO CREDIBLE ELECTIONS.

As Nigeria marks 26 years of uninterrupted democratic governance, the Chairman of the Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission, Plangji Cishak on behalf of the Management and Staff, extends warm felicitations to all Nigerians on this year's Democracy Day celebration.

The Chairman commends the resilience of the Nigerian people in upholding the tenets of democracy and acknowledges their commitment to participatory governance.

He reiterates PLASIEC'S dedication to strengthening the electoral process, ensuring that every vote counts and every voice is heard.

The Chairman noted that the recent success in the 9 October 2024 Local Government Elections, conducted under a tight schedule with meticulous planning, underscores the Commission's resolve to deliver free, fair, and credible elections.

He further emphasized PLASIEC's commitment to continuous improvement in electoral administration, leveraging technology, and fostering public trust.

The Electoral Umpire boss who said that Democracy thrives when institutions are transparent, impartial, and accountable, congratulated Nigerians and renewed the pledge to uphold these values and work tirelessly to deepen Nigeria's democratic culture.

Cishak also called on all stakeholders political parties, civil society Organizations, security agencies, the Media and the electorate to continue partnering with the State Independent Electoral Commissions in safeguarding Nigeria's democracy.

As the nation reflects on its democratic journey, PLASIEC remains steadfast in its mission to deliver electoral excellence and entrench enduring democratic norms for future generations.
