PLASIEC INVITES APPLICATIONS FOR ELECTION OBSERVERS AHEAD OF LOCAL GOVERNMENT ELECTIONS.

The Plateau State Independent Electoral Commission, PLASIEC is pleased to announce that application form for credible election observers is now available on our website.

With this announcement, registered Civil Society Organisations (CSOs), Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs), Religious Bodies and interested stakeholders are invited to send in their application.

The application form can be downloaded from our website at https://plasiec.ng/observer

Furthermore, all completed forms should be submitted online or in person to our office within two weeks of this publication.

It should be noted that all applications will be screened accordingly, after which a successful applicant list will be published in some National Newspapers and on the Commission's website.

Selected organisations or individuals will thereafter undergo a prerequisite training before being accredited for the elections.

Consequently, any falsification of documents will lead to automatic disqualification and possible prosecution.

PLASIEC therefore encourages all interested stakeholders to take advantage of this opportunity to contribute to a credible democratic process.
